CofC Cybersecurity Club

A student-run club at the College of Charleston for anyone curious about security. You don't need any experience to show up.

What we do

  • Tuesday meetings

Networking, Linux, scripting, attack and defense basics. Members teach most of them, and they're open to everyone.

  • Cyber Defense Team

Thursday practice for SECCDC, PCDC, and NCCDC, where we defend a network of servers against a live red team.

  • A lab to break things in

We stand up servers, domains, and services, then attack and fix them. Better to learn it here than in a competition round.

  • Any major, any year

Plenty of members started with no security background at all. Bring a laptop that can run a VM.

In 2021 the team won the SECCDC region and placed 9th at National CCDC, the first team from South Carolina to get there.
